On April 27, 2017, the Russian venture forum took place in Innopolis (Kazan, Republic of Tatarstan). The forum was organized by the Russian venture investment Association and the investment and venture Fund of the Republic of Tatarstan.
The Russian venture forum is a federal event that has replaced venture fairs and other regional events. Its main audience are innovative companies, start-ups in search of investment. Partners of the Forum were the Russian venture Company, Innovation promotion Fund, Association of innovative regions of Russia, Chamber of Commerce and industry of the Republic of Tatarstan, Pulsar Venture Capital.
The President of the Republic of Tatarstan R. Minnikhanov, Advisor to the President of the Russian Federation A. Fursenko, General Director and Chairman of the Board of AO "Russian venture company" A. Povalko, Director-coordinator of the Russian venture fair I. Gladkikh and Director of the Investment and venture Fund of the Republic of Tatarstan A. Aideldinov opened the Forum.
In his welcoming speech, Minnikhanov noted that the venture exhibition, which previously had a regional scale, now had the status of an all-Russian forum, which undoubtedly had a positive impact on its effectiveness.
"I want to thank all the guests and participants of the event. There are good conditions for communication, finding new contacts and implementing new projects. I wish you good work," the Tatarstan President said.
A. Fursenko, in turn, noted that Tatarstan had always been distinguished by the correct balance between tradition and innovation, remaining among the leaders in the development of innovation. "I am sure that this ratio will always be the hallmark of the Russian venture forum," he added.
After the opening, the guests of honor got acquainted with the exhibition of the best projects selected for the forum. The exposition was presented in three parts: technology companies – contenders for participation in the acceleration program, exposition of Innovative infrastructure of the Republic of Tatarstan and Interactive exhibition of the future "Hi, Future".
444 innovative companies from across Russia and 12 countries, including the US, Ireland, Estonia, Finland etc. applied to participate in the forum, the exhibition and the program of acceleration.
Only 50 applications were selected to participate in the forum and exhibition, including the RAVIS project – digital terrestrial sound and multimedia broadcasting system.
Immediately after the opening, the high-ranking guests toured the exposition of the Forum, where 50 best technological projects, including RAVIS, were presented.
