On September 5-6, 2018, the VI conference "Communication in The Russian North" took place in Moscow at the Congress center of MTUSI. During the forum, the participants discussed the most important aspects of the state policy in the field of communication and broadcasting in the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation, in the Far North and the Far East.
The participants were presented with detailed reviews of major infrastructure projects, plans and initiatives of major market players.
Within the framework of the conference, productive discussions were held, where topical issues of satellite communication development and prospects of technological development of radio communication facilities in the Far North were discussed.
Professional communication operators working in the Northern regions – representatives of administrations, agencies, Telecom operators and specialists of large industrial holdings and companies attended the forum. The General partner of the conference was FGUP "Space communication".
The participants of the conference "Communication in The Russian North" presented comprehensive, interesting reports: Alexander Dvorkovich, director of the Phystech School of Radio Engineering and Computer Technology (PSRECT) MIPT, head of multimedia systems and technologies laboratory, doctor of technical sciences, member-cor. RAS, Yuri Torgashin, first Deputy Director of DIT and digital development of the administration of Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug – Ugra, Dmitry Stremilov, Deputy Minister – head of the communications infrastructure development department of Khabarovsk Region, etc.
In two days, about 140 participants of the conference took part in plenary sessions and round tables.
